Recent Fire in Alamo Square - Community Meeting

Last Tuesday, a major fire destroyed the home of Terry Williams and his family, who have been the targets of racial terror and threats for the past few weeks. Thanks to an incredible response from the San Francisco Fire Department and EMS workers, no lives were lost. I was on scene immediately to make sure impacted residents and the Williams family were connected with city resources.

Since then, my office has received phone calls and emails from neighbors asking for information about the fire and resources to help them process the event in the aftermath. We have also received an incredible outpouring of support from community members looking to help the Williams family and neighbors affected by this devastating fire.

In response, my office and City Departments are teaming up to convene a community meeting to provide updates, and to make sure residents are aware of all available resources. In addition, we will provide neighbors with information on how you can help.
